The Outdoor Classroom Part II

The Outdoor Classroom was "All About Birds" on our classes second visit this school year.  Students made bird feeders and hung them  throughout the Impact Trail.  Students also had the opportunity to learn about and see different kinds of birds.

Students look for good spots to hang their bird feeders.

Erika and Hannah take a break in front of the bird blinds to see if any birds come along for a snack.

In between learning about birds Kadyn had the opportunity to touch a bear inside the learning lab at The Outdoor Classroom!!!!

The Outdoor Classroom

Students visited The Outdoor Classroom in September.  This trip was one of four visits the class will be making throughout this school year.  On their visit students created a map and walked two of the nature trails located at the park.  Students were able to make observations about their environment and learn about various plants and animals in this interactive science lesson.

Tony examines mushrooms growing on a branch.

Students stop to find the learning lab on their maps.

Students navigated their way through the sensory trail.
